Congrats to All Olympics Participants

Congratulations to ALL athletes from ALL countries who have had the wonderful experience of participating in the Olympics in PyeongChang the past two weeks. Just getting to perform at that level is fantastic and an enviable experience and shows amazingly, exceptional skills… winning is even better of course.

I watched a few the Men’s and Women’s Hockey, Downhill Skiing and the Women’s Figure Skating events. USA Men’s Hockey had a tough loss in a shootout to the Czechs; The USA Women’s Hockey “Miracle on Ice” Team won in shootout to win over mighty Canada to take their first “Gold” since 1998 (see my post yesterday); and Alina Zagitova took gold just ahead of her recovering training partner and two times World Champion (and my favorite) Evgenia Medvedeva (both Russian) and Kaetlyn Osmond took Bronze for Canada, bringing Canada’s total medal wins to 25, just behind Russia, USA and Norway (33, 28 & 26 respectively) at the time of this post. Again… Congratulation to All for bringing some exciting viewing to our lives.  It is certainly a good break from “PolyTicks.”
