I and the entire Jeffress family wish all of you, our families, our friends and all people everywhere who celebrate this joyful day and the meaning of Christmas, a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year.
The “Tear Drop” Commemorates the Lives Lost on 9/11/01
This is a shared post from Joseph Larson and re-posted by Liberty Ann Justice regarding the 9/11 “Tear Drop” Monument in New York City.
Go to-> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk0W4Ydub7k It’s worth it.
Did you know that a Russian sculptor named Zurab Tsereteli created this sculture and that President Vladimir Putin gave it to the United States as a memorial to those who lost their lives on that fateful day. This is the “TEAR DROP” made and installed by the Russians to honor those who died in 9 11 and a statement against terrorism. It is very impressive. The tear drop is lined up with the Statue of Liberty.

I don’t think it could be said any better than this by MrOnyxialkiller
Russia deserves our thanks for this, and as we solemnly remember the lives lost that fateful day ten years ago, we are reminded of how shocking it was, not just to us, but to everyone. As memorial services are held across the world, from the UK to Russia, Poland and Sweden, and as far as Japan, let us come together, united not by a common party, not by country, but by the quest for an end to terrorism. Let us be united against evil.
I believe in gun control. I believe in responsibility. I believe gun owners should keep weapons secured against thieves, safely out of the reach of children and those not trained in their proper use. I believe in gun control, including safe storage, proper maintenance and training, controlling one’s emotions while handling a firearm and absolute control over where it is pointed and where it shoots. Gun control does require mental concentration and a steady hand.
I believe that convicted felons, arraigned terrorists and anyone legally certified mentally unstable or a threat to society should be barred from having a gun. That does not mean I believe the government can declare all of us unstable if we disagree with their agenda and bar us from possessing a gun.
I believe in personal and responsible gun control…Not a federal government regime control. That is precisely why our Nation’s founding fathers wrote the Second Amendment as they did, to protect, “We the People.” from any future dictatorial, totalitarian government take over.
If I were a dictator intent on controlling the people of a nation, I would try to: Destroy their faith in God or their beliefs in a Supreme Being; Confiscate all weapons; Reduce the military and particularly those in command; Impoverish the majority and make them government dependent; and Suppress any opposition.
Yes, I believe in gun control… And the duty to protect our rights to ensure that no one, within or without this Nation, messes with our Constitution and the Second Amendment. I hope and pray that you agree and support this cause. If the “good guys” are denied guns, only the “bad guys” will have them. Think about it while you still have a choice.
It is hard to believe that so many people have been hood-winked by our government liberals and other secularists who disdain religion and believe that our founding fathers created a law to prohibit or discourage us from believing in and worshiping God or any Supreme Being.
The First Amendment states: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
It clearly says, Congress shall make no law to establish religion. It doesn’t say that we the people can’t practice it if and as we choose. We keep hearing the term, “Separation of Church and State.” Our founding fathers primarily meant a separation of “the Church” and the State. The Church of England had up until that point held significant power over the people and the formation of our new government and the First Amendment was meant in part, to prohibit that continued rule by “The Church.”
Nowhere in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights, does the word God appear, nor are there any restrictions to the people’s right to pray privately or in public or otherwise practice their religious beliefs. In fact, it states, there will be no “prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”
The only exception to the reference to the Lord is found in the Signatory section, where the date is written thusly: “Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty-seven.”
It is a shame that our federal and state governments are now so willing to appease atheist activists, muslims and church-state separatists, discourage any form of prayer or mention of God in school, and ignore the rights and beliefs of the majority of Americans who do believe in a “Supreme Being.” It is also a shame that the media seems to give dissenters priority and space over that of believers.
Roy Costner IV, (photo below) a high school valedictorian in Pickens County, SC, tore up his “school approved valedictory speech” and spoke from the heart at last weekend’s ceremony and at the end, said “The Lord’s Prayer,” (Matthew 6:9–13). He was given a nearly unanimous ovation by those in attendance, but was criticized by a vocal minority of dissenters who advocate the removal of all invocations from all school events.
It is too bad but if Mr Costner violated the school’s policy, then I guess he deserves to be chastised, but I disagree with a policy that denies him 3 of the 5 rights granted by the First Amendment. It is sad that we have let it get that way today !
I suppose the next step will be removing the words, “In God We Trust,” from all US Currency, because if there is anything “We The People” are losing faith in (besides our Administration and Congress) it is the “Almighty Dollar.” May God help us because we seem impotent to help ourselves.
Happy Birthday Jesus, Merry Christmas to all who celebrate this day and Happy, healthy, safe and secure New Year to all people of all religious faiths everywhere.
May 2013 awaken you to realize how much happier, healthier, safer and less burdensome the world will be if we all strive to make it a better, more peaceful place to live, for ourselves and our future generations. Laus Deo and Merry Christmas from the Jeffress Families.
Friedrich Nietzsche, one of the most progressive thinking and liberal philosophers once said, “Without music, life would be a mistake.” He also said, “That which does not kill us makes us stronger.” His most appropriate quote for today is “Sometimes people don’t want to hear the truth, because they don’t want their illusions destroyed.” Nietzsche
“A history of lies and illusions can rarely be replaced by promising a future of truths and facts.” Jeffress
I don’t know WHY I did not figure this out sooner. Like most people, I use a shampoo in the shower. When I wash my hair, the shampoo runs down my whole body, particularly over my stomach. Printed clearly on the shampoo label is this warning: “FOR EXTRA BODY AND VOLUME.” No wonder I have been gaining weight and getting larger.
Well, I have gotten rid of that shampoo and I am going to start showering with Dawn dish washing soap instead. It’s label reads: “DISSOLVES FAT THAT IS OTHERWISE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE.”
Problem solved I hope.
Quiz for today, 120909:
Where is the only place on Earth that you can walk 5 km due North, 5 km East and 5 km South and be right back where you started from? Answer:________________________. I’ll bet you will figure it out. 😉
Let me know what your answer is and keep following me here and on Facebook.
Do you realize that if all 23 million unemployed in America today stood in a close, single file line, that it would reach from the northern most part of Alaska to the southern most tip of South America? (See sketch below representing 1/10,000 of the line.)
Do you realize that if we packed stacks of dollar bills in railroad box cars, completely full, that a train of continuous box cars would extend from New York City to Topeka, Kansas in order to carry our current national debt?
Do you realize that at the expected rate of expenditure by 2016, that each and everyone of those 23 million unemployed standing in line (mentioned above) wound have to carry a million dollars to match the estimated national debt just four years from now?
We need to make a correction. We need to fix this problem. We need to find ways to cut spending or our Nation and our way of life as we know it will deteriorate. That is a lot to realize. That will require a lot of fixing. That is something that you must require your elected leaders to realize and to fix. Please do it now.
