One small Step for a man, one giant leap for mankind

Today, we celebrate the 47th anniversary of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin stepping out of the LEM and putting the first footprints on the Moon while Michael Collins orbited in the CSM.  It was the efforts of Commander Neil Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin and thousands of others back here on Earth that made this Mission possible and successful.

That was a first step.  Maybe someday, we will take further steps.  We may never live there or build shopping mall there, but if it wasn’t for the Moon, Life on Earth would probably not exist.  So when you look up tonight, be thankful for our Moon and remember the astronauts who pioneered the way and first set foot on it and left a Lunar plaque which states: “We came in peace for all mankind.”  Don’t you wish Adam and Eve has left such a plaque?
